Primarily reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the candidate will help secure the financial state of the organization along with aiding in the operations of our income tax assistance program.
The candidate will bring three or more years of relevant financial experience, possess a high level of comfort with computer technology, ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines effectively and efficiently, and have a team player mentality with a willingness to help other staff with various tasks.

Education Manager – Franklin Co.

The successful candidate will ensure that STEP’s mission and goals are met by providing oversight of the educational components of the Head Start and Early Head Start programs, managing curriculum, education staff, and operations to ensure quality early childhood education and child development services for families.
Qualifications for this position include a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field, bring three or more years of experience in an early childhood education administrative or supervisory position, possess a high level of comfort with computer technology, strong organizational skills and strategic thinking abilities, and experience working with children and families with diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications for this position include an Associate’s Degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education (prefer Bachelor’s Degree), three years’ experience working with pre-school age children, excellent written and oral communication skills, and basic computer skills.

Head Start Health Services Manager
Solutions That Empower People, Inc. (STEP) has an opening for a full-time, 12-month Health Services Manager in Franklin County, VA. This position is responsible for overseeing the health component of the Head Start program. This role involves tracking medical, dental, and developmental requirements for children enrolled in Head Start and Early Head Start, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations, and maintaining relationships with health service providers.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Management, Nursing, Public Health, or a health-related field. Minimum of two (2) years managing in the health field particularly with pediatric age children. Applicants must pass a background check, and complete required health and safety certifications within three months of employment.
Salary range for this position is $48,125.00–$63,209.81 per year. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, disability insurance, 401k, and PTO.
