Education Manager

Solutions That Empower People, Inc. (STEP), a multi-faceted community action agency, is currently seeking an Early/Head Start Education Manager. This is a full-time exempt position located in our Franklin County office. In this position, the successful candidate will support and monitor the implementation of selected curricula, provide direct supervision of all teaching staff, and mentor/coach staff to ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, and Child Care Licensing Regulations. Qualifications include: Three years of experience working in the field of Early Childhood Education with a working knowledge of child care licensing, staffing patterns, and Head Start Performance Standards preferred. Proficient computer skills. Excellent communicator and collaborator. Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.

Benefits include health, dental, vision, disability, PTO, and 401k. Salary range $45,362.44 - $59,581.31.

Program Manager

Solutions That Empower People, Inc. (STEP), a multi-faceted community action agency, is currently seeking a Program Manager. This is a full-time exempt position operating out of our Franklin County office. In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the following components of Head Start and Early Head Start programs: Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment and Attendance (ERSEA), family engagement, family development, community partnerships, bus transportation policy/procedure, and supervision of case management staff to ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards. Qualifications include Three years’ experience in a position relating to the provision and management of family services for young children and their families as well as supervisory experience preferred. Proficient computer skills. Excellent communicator and collaborator. Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Development, Social Work, or a related family/human services field.

This is a full-time 10-month position that is responsible for assisting in the planning and carrying out of the educational program and the day-to-day operations of the classroom.  The qualifications for this position include a CDA credential or a state-awarded certificate that meets the requirements for a CDA credential, one year of experience working with pre-school age children, excellent written and oral communication skills, basic computer skills, and familiarity with the ethnic backgrounds of the children we serve.
