Solutions That Empower People, Inc. (STEP), a multifaceted community action agency, has an opening for an Infant/Toddler Teacher in Franklin County, VA. The Infant/Toddler Teacher will be responsible for the care, safety, and well-being of the children enrolled in the Early Head Start Program.

Qualifications:
Experience working with infants and toddlers;
Experience working with low-income families;
High school diploma or equivalent;
CDA Credential in Infant/Toddler Development or equivalent.

Hourly rate $14.67 – $17.96. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, disability insurance, PTO, and 401K.

(STEP), a multifaceted community action agency, is currently seeking qualified applicants for Head Start / Early Head Start substitute teacher positions in Franklin County and Patrick County. These positions are responsible for assisting in planning and carrying out the educational program and the day-to-day operations of the classroom. Hours and days will vary according to need. Teacher – LIFES Academy 

Solutions That Empower People, Inc. (STEP), a multifaceted community action agency, is currently seeking a qualified Middle School/High School Teacher with an endorsement in Special Education K-12. This position is responsible for planning and implementing academic and instructional activities for students with emotional and behavioral disabilities. The successful candidate will work as a team to ensure the student is receiving the appropriate education and assistance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited institution;
Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure;
Ability to use a variety of instructional and behavioral management strategies appropriate to the needs of the students enrolled.

Pay starting from $42,757.00 per year. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, disability insurance, PTO, and 401K.

Administration Positions

Employee Relations Director

The Employee Relations Director role is responsible for providing strategic as well as hands-on support to the entire STEP team in all areas of Employee Relations including recruitment, onboarding, retention, policy creation and training, and overall HR compliance. You will be the advocate for a positive employee experience and culture by having full responsibility for building and implementing policies and procedures that are fair and consistent, and proactively seeking out employee relations and compliance related issues through site visits, coaching, and education of our team. This is a Director level position and you will work with STEP leadership to provide input on employee relations matters to help make strategic organizational decisions. A successful candidate will demonstrate organizational acumen and an understanding of how employee relations impact the entire organization.

Minimum requirements for this position include: Bachelor’s Degree or above in Human Resources, understanding of employment law, at least 5-7 years of experience with developing and implementing Employee Relations strategies, excellent customer service skills, strong collaboration skills, and flexibility. Professional certification in Human Resources required.
