Meals on Wheels
Partnering with the Southern Area Agency on Aging (SAAA) our staff and volunteers provide home delivered meals to home bound senior citizens in certain areas of Franklin and Patrick Counties. We deliver nutritious meals Monday through Friday. We also offer a friendly face, someone to chat with, and the comfort of knowing that someone cares!
Please contact our intake coordinator at SAAA, Christen Quinnan, at (800) 468-4571 or (276) 632-6442. Ms. Blankenship will perform a home assessment and client evaluation to determine eligibility for the program.
Pending program approval by SAAA, you will be delivered hot meals Monday through Friday and provided “weather meals” during inclement weather situations.
- Patrick County: Hot meals are delivered Monday-Friday.
- Franklin County: Hot meals are delivered Monday-Friday; Frozen meals are delivered Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday every other week
Senior Cafes
Where seniors gather to share a meal in a social setting
STEP prepares nutritious lunches that are combined with interesting educational programs and activities. These meals are prepared in our own kitchen and served to some 150 seniors each week at various locations in our community.

Senior Transportation
We offer transportation services for Patrick County seniors to congregate lunches, medical appointments, and grocery shopping. More than 50 seniors take advantage of these services every week, allowing them the freedom to be more mobile, more self-sufficient and more independent.
